Naomi Wildman

Naomi sat at her computer and set up a communications link with her mother back home. A few seconds later Samantha Wildman appeared on the screen.

"Hi sweetie," Samantha said.

"Hi mom," Naomi replied cheerfully.

"How was your first week of classes honey?" Samantha asked after a few seconds went by as Samantha surveyed her daughter, Naomi seemed generally happier, which was always a good thing, it meant that her daughter was settling into Fandom High.

"Classes went great," Naomi replied excitedly and that was the truth, she loved the classes that she had signed up for and all of her teachers had been great.

"What classes do you have Naomi?"

"I have Interstellar Relations and Cross Species Communications period 6 and 7 Monday," Naomi replied, "I have Literature in Action period 5 Tuesday, I have US Government period 4 Wednesday and I have Science!, period 7 Thursday,"

"That sounds like a good selecton of classes Naomi," Samantha smiled, "how are you settling in?"

"The second week was slightly easier to adjust to then the first," Naomi replied honestly, "I've met more people and classes started so I have things to keep me busy,"

"So how do you like Fandom High so far?" Samantha asked

"It's a pretty good school," Naomi admitted, "the people here are nice and I'm starting to enjoy things here,"

"I'm pleased to hear that Naomi, what do you have scheduled for the rest of the day?"

"I'm going on a shopping trip with my big sibling," Naomi replied, "she's going to show me around town this afternoon after lunch,"

"That's good," Samantha said, honestly pleased that her daughter was making an effort to settle in, "Icheb was over the other day,"

"He was?" Naomi was slightly surprised

"He was on vacation from the Academy, this is his first week back, he'll be doing an internship on the Enterprise E for the next few weeks, he'll probably email or call you in the next little while,"

Naomi nodded, "okay,"

"Well sweetie I have to go now, but thank you for calling,"

"Your welcome mom,"

"Bye honey,"

"Bye,"

The communication link ended and the screen reverted back to the standard starfleet screensaver.
