Room 408, Monday Afternoon

Naomi came back from her afternoon classes. The first day of her second week of them was over and she was feeling rather relieved. It had been an interesting weekend what with Detention on Saturday and Shopping with Nadia on Friday.
She sat down at her computer and decided to check her email. She noticed that she had a message from Icheb.

Naomi,
I don't know if your mother had told you that that I was going to email you at somepoint during the first week of my intern on the Enterprise E. Well I am. I received your email address. I would call but email seems more reliable, I might call next week if I can find a spare second. I wanted to make sure that you would get this message. Why didn't you or your mother tell me that the school was in the year 2006? What other strange things are happening there Naomi? If you'd rather tell me in person, I can arrange that. I am under the impression that your mother does not know of these strange happenings. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I hope things are fine for you at Fandom High and that you are happy there.
I miss you
Icheb

Dear Icheb,
Still the same as ever I see :)
I didn't find out that the school was set in the year 2006 until I arrived two weeks ago. I'm not the only one who comes from a different time period. There are people here from the 50th century, I haven't met them yet but people have told me about them and there are people who come from way back into the past (at least by our standards). Only could you please not tell mom? She doesn't know about the uniqueness that is Fandom High and I don't want her to think I've gone crazy or something and try and pull me out or something like that. I don't know what I'm going to do if she comes for a parents day or something like that and wants to check out the school. Other than the time difference school's going fine at the minute, I'd rather be back at San Francisco but this place isn't so bad for a high school considering that I've never been to one before. I absolutely love my classes. I'm taking Interstellar Relations, Cross Species Communications, Literature in Action, US Government and Science! I went shopping in Fandom on Friday and had detention on Saturday (I did absolutely nothing wrong to get on detention so don't think I've become a bad girl or anything like that, apparently at this school there's a thing called a detention lottery and the name's are pulled out by selection ... my name was the unlucky one to get called out on the Friday - also don't tell mom that I had detention either).
Well that's about it for now, if you want to arrange a calling time face to face that's fine
Hope that your internship goes well ont the Enterprise E
Miss you as well
Naomi
